Get rid of bloating easy and natural!
Although we consider bloating a disease, it is actually a symptom of IBS alongside gas, abdominal distention, constipation and even stomach cramps.
You may wonder what IBS is. IBS is an inflammation of the intestinal mucosa with symptoms such as the ones above. Another issue it brings is poor absorption of the food we eat, due to the damaged state of the intestine walls, which can lead to malnutrition of essential micronutrients.
The symptoms are: gas, bloating after meals, abdominal pains, diarrhea or constipation then you’re probably dealing with IBS.
Is there a natural remedy for it?
The answer is yes and you might be surprise to find that two of the most common (and maybe even used) ingredients are the key to it.
Turmeric and ginger are two of the most effective spices against bloating, abdominal pains and constipation.
Turmeric originates from India, where it’s been use for centuries in cooking, health care and as a beauty product.
Its active ingredient is called curcumin.O
Ginger is known as an essence and spice but also, it is one of the oldest remedies known in the herbal and aromatic traditional treatments especially in the Middle East. In China, it has been use for over 2,000 years for curing inflammation and diarrhea.
Mixed together this two ingredients can make wonders!
Here’s a recipe of anti-inflammatory turmeric ginger tea that can be extremely beneficial:
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tsp freshly grated turmeric
- tsp 1 freshly grated ginger
- 1 Slice of lemon
- Raw Honey
- 1 tsp of coconut oil or black pepper
Turmeric has low absorption and rapid metabolism so in order to increase the absorption in the body you need to add a little fat to the tea, such as a teaspoon of coconut oil or black pepper, which will help the absorption of curcumin.
Boil the water and add freshly grated ginger and turmeric while simmering for 10-15 minutes on low heat.
If you’re using ground. turmeric or ginger, boil for only 5 minutes. Next, strain the tea and add honey and lemon by taste.
At the end add coconut oil or black pepper for absorption.
You could have one cup of tea every day for good health. If you’re taking blood thinning drugs, a visit to a medical practitioner before consuming is advisable. Also, pregnant and breast feeding women should first consult their doctor before consuming these herbs
